Some years ago, a Messianic leader wanted to know what I "believed." He meant, I think: Were my beliefs orthodox (kosher) in the eyes of the Christian Church? When I said I believe everything in Scripture, he wouldn't accept that. He wanted me to express my beliefs in creedal statements that are used throughout Christendom, such as those found in Early Christian Creeds.
